What's involved in a service request?

Before you decide to request our services, there are a few things you should know.

For Biting Complaints:

In many cases, for a complaint about biting insects, we will want to come onto your property. The source of the problem may well be in your own backyard, and you may not realize it.  Whenever possible, we will ask permission to enter when we arrive. If you aren't able to be at home when the technician arrives, please leave the backyard gate unlocked for access.  If we cannot access your yard, we will leave a notice with you that we want to inspect your property, and request that you call us within 24 hours  Also, if you have any dogs, please let us know and keep them inside for the day of the inspection.

For Fish Requests:

If we make a delivery of mosquitofish to your home, please make sure you identify where the pond is, and please follow the simple requests above as well, or we may not be able to deliver your fish.

Also keep in mind that the services of the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District are free of charge.

If you have any concerns regarding any of the above -- including requesting us not coming onto your property -- please be sure to leave the permission box on the request form unchecked, or call us at 1. 510. 783. 7744 during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
